I once told a client I was a copywriter. "So you can do our legal documents?" Copywriting is a silly word. It combines copy and writing, which - to the people who don't confuse it with copyright - means I plagiarise for a living.
I'm a writer. I write for businesses. My words appear on press ads, posters, websites, brochures. Wherever I can get them really. I love it - showing companies that it's not dirty to speak clearly.
